About Tamil Nadu Special Temple Service Scheme
The scheme was introduced by the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu State as a move to empower the Hindu senior citizens of Tamil Nadu State. The scheme was launched by the Tamil Nadu state government at the demand of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Minister P.K. Sekarbabu on Sunday, 9th November 2025. According to the information, the authorities will select a total of 2000 senior couples across 20 HR&CE joint commissioner divisions. All the senior couples will get a chance to visit the historic temple and will also receive a gift hamper of up to INR 2500.

The main objective of launching the scheme is to uplift the social status and allow the citizens of Tamil Nadu state to visit historic temples easily.
