The “Mahila Rojgar Yojana” is not just a scheme but a beacon of empowerment designed to uplift the status of women by the Government of Bihar which provide a means of startup in the form of financial assistance to thousands of women residents who want to start their own business through this self-employment or livelihood opportunities in the activities of their choice there by fostering economic independence and social empowerment. This scheme was officially launched on September 26 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conferencing, and during this program Prime Minister will also directly transfer Rs 10,000 each into the bank accounts of 75 lakh women across the state, totalling 7,500 crore, which is a huge amount spent in the empowerment of lakhs of women residents across the state. Under this scheme, the government provides financial aid to one woman from each family in the state, enabling them to build their business, and please note that this assistance can be utilised in areas of choice of the women beneficiary in the field of agriculture, animal husbandry, handicraft weaving, tailoring, and other small-scale enterprises. By offering this scheme, the government aims to make women Atmanirbhar through self-employment and livelihood opportunities, promoting women’s empowerment.
