The Assam E Rickshaw Scheme is a state-oriented, community-specific, free e rickshaw distribution scheme designed by the Linguistic Minority Development Board, Government of Assam, for all the unemployed who are is lying in between 25 to 50 years old and belong to Bengali Hindu, Hindu speaking communities, and any recognised linguistic minority in Assam. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicant needs to meet the following eligibility criteria’s these are as follows:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Applicant must belong to a linguistic minority community.
- Age of the applicant must be between 25 to 50 years of age at the time of application.
- Applicants from ST categories are not eligible.
- Applicants from religious minorities such as Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, Jains, Sikhs, and Parsis are not eligible to apply for the scheme.
- Applicant must ensure that they can drive the e-rickshaw / moped and will not be allowed to give the vehicle on rent or leave the e-rickshaw / moped. its sold by the beneficiaries within 3 years of allotment will face legal action.
- Applicant must has to produce their BPL card/income certificate issued by the competent authority (Circle Officer/ Mauzadar) only if selected as the beneficiary before allotment of the vehicle.
- Annual income of the applying candidate’s family must be less than Rs 3 lakh per annum from all sources.
